Position Overview

Are you a seasoned professional looking for a challenging role? Join us as the Senior Vice President, Operations at Vantage Data Centers. In this position, you will lead strategic initiatives, oversee operational functions, and drive excellence across various departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Operations Management:
    • Lead day-to-day operations across North American data centers while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
    • Develop strategies to enhance operational performance and maintain high standards of excellence.
    • Ensure data center capacity and availability targets are met while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Manage a team of technical directors and senior executives, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
    • Encourage team development through mentorship, feedback, and performance management.
    • Work with peers to establish performance goals and drive team efficiency.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management:
    • Create and monitor operating budgets and expenses to meet financial targets.
    • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
  • Operational Excellence and Maintenance:
    • Oversee nationwide data center operations and ensure 100% infrastructure availability.
    • Hold teams accountable for maintenance activities and drive value preservation strategies.
    • Implement policies and standards to ensure operational efficiency and security.
  • Customer Service and Satisfaction:
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and address service issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
    • Ensure consistent customer experience across all campuses.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Management:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new facilities and manage vendor relationships effectively.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and service providers.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Implement process improvements and key initiatives to drive organizational outcomes.
  • Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements for enhanced efficiency.
  • Communicate key performance indicators to executive leadership and internal teams.
Physical Security Management:
  • Ensure the security of data center sites and implement security protocols.
  • Oversee security operations and incident response procedures.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years managing technical teams in engineering and maintenance environments.
  • Proven track record of leading operations in a high-growth setting.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, reliability engineering, and customer experience management.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
