Job Title: Senior Marketing Manager

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Marketing Director

SUMMARY:

The role of Senior Marketing Manager at our company entails overseeing the implementation of brand standards, driving quality traffic, and maintaining or boosting occupancy levels. This key position involves managing collateral production, graphic design, content editing, and developing an effective marketing strategy that leverages social media, digital advertising, print media, events, and other channels to promote our hotel. Collaboration with a creative team is an integral part of this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Introducing innovative marketing ideas, guerrilla marketing tactics, and business development strategies to attract quality leads and enhance community engagement.
  • Analyzing and optimizing lead tracking sources, traffic, and campaign performance.
  • Overseeing the management of marketing collateral and reordering branded items.
  • Creating and managing monthly event calendars in collaboration with on-site teams while ensuring successful execution of hotel events.
  • Coordinating photo/video shoots and organizing and maintaining photo, video, and other collateral libraries.
  • Monitoring online reputation and reviews, ensuring prompt management awareness of any issues, and suggesting responses to online feedback.
  • Regularly reviewing and verifying the accuracy of the property website in coordination with management.
  • Managing the online presence, including platforms like Yelp, Wikipedia, and ILS listings.
  • Establishing communication channels with hotel guests through surveys, event announcements, and general hotel updates.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing Director to define annual marketing budgets and gaining management approval for the same.
  • Requesting, reviewing, and negotiating media and third-party contracts.
  • Tracking marketing expenditures, processing invoices, and monitoring budget allocations.
  • Creating and analyzing market research reports with the Marketing Director.
  • Developing content for employee newsletters.
  • Approving social media content and occasionally engaging with influencers.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years of experience in hospitality marketing.
  • Experience in digital advertising and social media management.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro) and Sketch is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and branding guidelines adherence.
  • Effective troubleshooting, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adjust to the evolving needs and priorities of the hotel.
  • Preferably, experience in condo/hotel settings and pre-opening activities.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends for events or marketing campaigns.

EDUCATION:

  • A degree in Marketing or a related field is a prerequisite. Additional education in Art, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related fields is a bonus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably Spanish.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication to engage effectively with guests, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and respond promptly to emergencies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Extended periods of sitting.
  • Ability to discern details of objects in close proximity.
  • Capability to distinguish between colors, shades, and brightness levels.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role operates mainly within an office environment with moderate noise levels. While performing duties, there may be a need to inspect both internal and external areas of the property, potentially encountering construction and different weather conditions. Noise levels at the workplace can vary from moderate to loud.
