Scrub techs will work closely with our radiologists to perform various specialized, invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Applicants should be proficient in the Seldinger technique, passing wires and catheters, setting up and maintaining the sterile trays, and practicing sterile technique.

The machine tech designation indicates that the tech can run the interventional radiology suite (Siemens), set up and deploy the injector for contrast runs, and adjust the ultrasound machine for image optimization during needle guidance.

All interventional techs maintain a high level of knowledge regarding supplies (e.g., what is needed for upcoming cases, where supplies are located, and dropping requested supplies quickly and sterilely during procedures).

This position also performs general radiology exams, C-arm manipulation, and fluoroscopy.

Minimum Required:

  • Graduate from a JRCERT-accredited or equivalent school of radiography.
  • Must be ARRT registered.
  • Montana State License in Radiography by start date.
  • Current BLS, Healthcare Provider BLS within 30 days of hire.
  • Basic computer skills to include PACS and RIS.
  • Effective communication skills.

Desired/Preferred:

  • Recent hospital experience preferred in Radiology.
  • Vascular or cardiac interventional radiography is preferred.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS preferred.

Weekend Requirements:
Rotating Call.

  • Capacity to perform on-call, shift, holidays and weekends are required within a 20-minute response time for call backs required.
