Job Description



CSI Aerospace, Inc., a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, a NYSE traded company, is in search of an Assembler for their team. The Assembler will be responsible for conducting bench and assembly operations for electrical assemblies and subassemblies. The position is for the 2nd Shift, with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 5:00 pm to 3:30 am.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Completing assemblies or subassemblies based on provided documentation.
  • Following approved documentation such as assembly prints, Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), and Work Instructions (WI).
  • Performing hand shaping of electrical wiring and installation into component parts.
  • Utilizing shop tools and various shop equipment.
  • Maintaining document traceability of components used in assembly on manufacturing orders.
  • Offering feedback to the Production Supervisor concerning challenges and issues encountered during assembly.
  • Following company procedures and policies related to personnel and quality matters.
  • Undertaking any other assigned duties.

Requirements



Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent.



Work Experience:

  • 2-5 years of hands-on production experience involving the use of small hand tools and shop equipment.
  • Demonstrating mechanical inclination and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in a production or manufacturing setting with small assemblies.

Specialized Knowledge or Abilities:

  • Language skills: Ability to read and interpret various documents like safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Capable of communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math proficiency.
  • Reasoning Abilities: Effective problem-solving skills and adaptability to deal with different scenarios where standardization is limited. Ability to understand diverse instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands:



While carrying out job responsibilities, the Team Member must stand, walk, bend, squat, use hands to handle tools, reach, and communicate verbally. Occasional lifting and/or moving of items up to 20 pounds may be required. Specific vision capabilities needed include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.



Work Environment



During work duties, the employee will operate near high-temperature torch brazing equipment. The noise level in the workplace is generally moderate. This role is classified as a DOT-FAA Safety Sensitive position.
