Position Available: Mechanical Assembly Operator

Shift: 2nd Shift hours: 3:00AM - 11:30PM

The Mechanical Assembly Operator will play a crucial role in the assembly processes within a manufacturing environment focused on transfer switches. Responsibilities include interpreting mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to execute all wiring and assembly tasks as directed by the lead or supervisor.

Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting to complete complex tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in assembling switches and associated equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and comprehending wiring diagrams and BOMs.
  • Skilled in constructing electrical panels using appropriate tools and hardware.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure timely and accurate assembly work.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices.
  • Basic literacy skills.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Capability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Experience with soldering is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours).
  • Proficient in using basic tools.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience (GED).
