Overview: As a part of an organization that is mission-oriented at its core, operates at a local level, and leverages national support, this position has the responsibility of establishing connections with fundraising volunteers while introducing creative peer-to-peer fundraising strategies to surpass revenue targets for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission in a specific market area. This role is about unwaveringly pursuing solutions for cancer.

Directs: May oversee volunteers and committees

Roles and Obligations:

Mission Integration

    • Collaborate with the Education, Services, and Health Research department to appropriately convey LLS's overall mission, initiatives, resources, and priorities.
    • Tasked with arranging locally focused donor engagement events and identifying high-impact donors for national relationship-building activities.

Fundraising & Relationship Establishment

    • Lead impactful peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns to reach overall revenue objectives.
    • Contribute ideas to formulate a strategic blueprint for peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives, encompassing revenue targets, budgets, objectives, and timelines.
    • Implement the annual innovative strategic plan and make periodic revisions to ensure the team outperforms all revenue goals.
    • Coordinate with the local relationship team and national shared services partners across LLS.

Volunteer Coordination

    • Responsible for recruiting and nurturing high-level volunteer groups
    • Lead the enlistment of fundraising volunteers engaging in peer-to-peer fundraising efforts leading to revenue growth and goal attainment.
    • Identify and network with stakeholders and significant donors to secure their backing for LLS's fundraising initiatives.
    • Create recruitment strategies and actively secure new alliances by conducting individual research, prospecting, and fostering volunteer relationships.
    • Maintain a proficient understanding of LLS's mission and programs to champion Organizational activities.
    • Undertake any other relevant assignments as delegated.

Strong knowledge in digital, social media & new online channels is critical.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree
  • Have 3-5 years of related experience

Key Competencies:

  • Work in coordination with the Mission Team to ensure the success of patient access, education, public policy, advocacy, and research.
  • Apt at supervising volunteer groups.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational aptitude.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of digital tools, social media, and emerging online platforms.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Physical demands are minimal, typical of comparable roles in similar organizations.
  • Work environment mirrors that of counterparts in similar roles within equivalent organizations.
  • May need to handle Campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds for various events.
  • Travel within a specified area may be needed.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work required.
  • LLS follows a 35-hour work week.

This role is hourly paid and non-exempt. The standard hourly salary range is $50,000 (equivalent to $27/hour) - $65,000 (equivalent to $36/hour), open for further discussion based on location.
