Job Description:

As a Software Engineer at TempWorks, your role is crucial in crafting software that brings joy to our users and customers while ensuring ease of maintenance. Working alongside diverse teams, your focus will be on grasping requirements, translating them into technical specs, and delivering top-notch software solutions that cater to customer demands.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and sustain software features through constant enhancement, refactoring, and bug resolution.
  • Create robust, high-performing, scalable software that is resilient to failures.
  • Proactively seek growth opportunities to elevate the company, department, team, and personal skills.
  • Foster user-friendly software aligning with organizational and customer requisites.
  • Craft quality unit and integration tests for robustness.
  • Evaluate and assess programs and products pre-launch.
  • Contribute to and adhere to top practices in software development.
  • Engage in agile development methodologies like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Train stakeholders on completed work for documentation, customer guidance, and quality purposes.
  • Conduct code reviews offering valuable feedback.
  • Stay abreast of emerging software trends and technologies.
  • Participate in educational initiatives including online courses, conferences, and meet-ups.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Software Engineer to ensure work meets set standards.
  • Perform any other relevant duties as delegated.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum Associate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Bachelor's degree is a plus.

At least 2 years of pertinent experience in developing enterprise-level web software applications.

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on C# experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of Microsoft SQL database proficiency.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in building applications using RESTful APIs.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in developing REST API-based applications using C# .NET framework and/or ASP.NET.
  • Expertise in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and contemporary JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular). Preference for React.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) for source code management and team collaboration.
  • Experience with testing and mocking frameworks (e.g., MSTest, NUnit, XUnit, Moq).

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of desk work and computer operation.
  • Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds may be required.
