Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Determine specimen acceptability for testing
  • Perform technical procedures following SOPs
  • Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation
  • Make technical decisions and solve problems
  • Evaluate new reagents or controls
  • Report test results timely and accurately
  • Perform preventive maintenance and quality control
  • Identify and replenish bench supplies
  • Assist with specimen processing
  • Maintain a safe work environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelors' degree in a life science or Medical Technology
  • Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred
  • ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist or eligible
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Proficient with computers
  • Attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
  • Pass standardized color vision screen
  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts
