Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a job-related field, preferably information technology or computer science, or commensurate work experience, required.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in software development and application management, required.
  • 2+ years of experience using DB tools and writing SQL queries, required.
  • 2+ years of experience with one or more databases like PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, required.
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft visual studio and ability to code in C#, required.
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL, ETL and data operations and management, required.
  • Experience in building and managing API based integrations and cloud-based applications, preferred.
  • Experience with Analytics, reporting and data visualization platforms such as Power BI, preferred.

Job Purpose and Scope:


Responsible for the development and management of a select portfolio of business-critical applications and provides support to the application users, manages data catalogs, application documentation, and all items related to application operability.

This role will collaborate with both business and technology teams to bring innovation while supporting application change management processes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate on day-to-day application management processes of assigned applications portfolio.
  • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing and operating technical solutions.
  • Collect, analyze, and validate project requirements that add value to existing applications, systems, and business processes.
  • Collaborate on application strategy with all stakeholders to address emerging customer, banking, and lending trends.
  • Analyze business needs presented by the users or clients and recommend technical solutions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the commercial and real estate lending lifecycle and data operations.
  • Collaborate with business and other stakeholders on end-to-end process of functional application changes, including requirement collection, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation.
  • Work closely with product management and/or project management on creation and management of project implementation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank OZK and internal/external regulatory policy, procedures, and guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of application management processes, software engineering principles, architectural patterns, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of latest development frameworks to develop scalable, performant web and desktop applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective organizational and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment delivering quality work on time with acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a continually changing environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to form and manage trustful and productive relationships.
  • Ability to think critically and develop strategy.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure and execute under pressure.
  • Skill in computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
