Basic Job Functions:

PURPOSE: Assist the Branch Shop Manager to carry out the functions of the fabrication shop. Ensure safe and efficient workflow by supervising shop staff and overseeing production in accordance with company policy, customer demands, and regulations

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrications safety programs and standards
  • Supervise all personnel and operations
  • Oversee daily work assignments and schedules
  • Troubleshoot production problems effectively
  • Oversee equipment maintenance
  • Perform quality inspections
  • Assist in employee evaluations
  • Operate various shop equipment
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Production Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • OSHA 10 certificate
  • Five years experience in manufacturing setting
  • Two years supervisor experience
  • Ability to operate shop equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • OSHA 30 certificate
  • Skilled in communication, supervision, planning, and human relations
  • Basic knowledge of business, labor relations, and industrial regulations
  • Proficient in computer use
  • Extended hours may be required during peak production
  • Occasional travel may be necessary
  • Must maintain confidentiality of personnel records
