Role Overview:
Join our team in Surprise, AZ as a Shift Supervisor responsible for overseeing day shift operations. As a key player in our Operations Division, you will be crucial in achieving Safety, Quality, Delivery, People, and Profitability objectives through effective leadership and coordination of production activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage production shift employees to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards.
  • Supervise and train employees on the assigned shift, overseeing daily workflow, providing performance evaluations, and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.

Reports to:
Production Manager

Key Duties:

  • Oversee production operations, develop work schedules, and maintain equipment knowledge.
  • Ensure accurate product identification, troubleshoot operational issues, and enforce safety regulations.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, among other assigned duties.

Required Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of production operations and machinery.
  • Strong leadership, presentation, and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, coupled with problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and adherence to ethical conduct.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; at least 2 years of steel processing experience.
  • Preferably experienced in Lean Manufacturing.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand/walk, sit at a desk, move around the production facility, and lift up to 25 pounds.

Position Type:
This is a full-time role, generally Monday to Friday, with the potential for longer hours to complete special projects.

Work Environment:
Dynamic office/shop setting with varying temperatures and noise levels.
