Basic Requirements:
  • Master's degree in any discipline or a bachelor's degree in any discipline with one year of experience as a Physician Assistant
  • Successfully passed the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE)
  • Currently hold, or will hold, a full and unrestricted license to practice in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia

Additional Experience: 2 years of experience in endovascular vein harvesting and surgical service experience


Grade Determinations:
  • Physician Assistant-II (VN-11) Experience and Education
  • Physician Assistant-III (VN-13) Experience and Education

Duties:
  • Conduct comprehensive examinations, diagnosis, and implementation of treatment plans
  • Provide medical education/counseling to patients & their families
  • Verify and assure pre-operative surgical requirements are met
  • Assist in the operating room and perform bedside procedures
  • Manage Quality Assurance within the cardiothoracic section
  • Write orders for laboratory work and treatments
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and participate in clinical research projects

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
