**Overview:**

**$15 per hour**

Carowinds is hiring Baristas for Starbucks This position contributes to Starbucks success by providing legendary customer service to all guests. Learn how to create the Starbucks Experience for our guests by providing guests with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

Daily interaction and assistance to park guests; displaying outgoing, friendly, versatile, flexible, professional levels of service to ensure guest satisfaction.

Employ salesmanship techniques including product demonstration, sales goals, and suggestive selling.

Assists guests in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales.

Prepare a variety of beverage orders, such as espresso drinks and Coffee of the Week, to Starbuck standards.

Use cash register to correctly total price and tax on selected product by guest.

Receive payment of cash, credit card, checks or travelers checks and make correct change.

Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing all products.

Other duties may be assigned.

**We're Looking For:**

Ability to demonstrate all performance standards by completing Initial Store Training and passing the Barista Certification with a score of 90% of better.

Ability to pass a simple math assessment.

Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
