Glendale Dining Services is seeking a Chef Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead and guide kitchen operations. We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about cooking and eager to develop and improve with us. As the chef and manager, you will oversee a team of food service professionals, manage catering, ordering, inventory, budgeting, menu planning, and FOH operations. Ultimately, we depend on you and the leadership team to ensure the smooth running of the food service program.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in food service/restaurant industry combined with a genuine passion and skill for cooking
  • Previous experience in overseeing FOH staff
  • Prior work in a senior dining setting is preferred
  • Culinary degree from an accredited program is a bonus but not mandatory
  • Proven track record in management, capable of motivating and guiding teams effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Clear and compelling communication abilities
  • Proficient in business etiquette and client relationships

  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Possession or ability to acquire necessary certifications and licenses following local, state, and federal regulations for food production management
