JRI's Developing Abilities program provides opportunities for people to live in homes and apartments in their communities and to grow through job training, supported employment and day habilitation services. We provide therapeutic and social supports to enrich the lives of people with disabilities.

Multiple options for flexible schedules to accommodate work life balance.

Nurses must be willing to travel in the Metro West area. Choose whether to travel between all Metro West area group homes, or specialize in homes in just one or two towns, such as Framingham, Ashland, Westborough, and Marlborough.

Salary: $ $38.25/hr

JRI Provides The Training So That:
  • YOU will serve people living in a number of group homes.
  • YOU will schedule and complete wellness visits for fragile or high risk individuals.
  • YOU will complete full body assessments as needed and document assessments through progress notes.
  • YOU will provide routine medical care and respond to medical emergencies during scheduled hours. And notify Manager On-call or Director of Health Care of urgent issues.
  • YOU will administer medications and treatments. Follow doctor's orders and individual medication awareness programs; assess for possible side effects; complete documentation; verify the narcotics count. Prepare a list of medications and treatment items needed.
  • YOU will consult daily with Direct Care and Supervisory staff in regards to specific directions for individual care.
  • YOU will train Direct Support Staff in annually required topics, such as vital signs, and administering epi-pens.
  • YOU will schedule and complete program site audits of medication administration records.
  • YOU will assist with daily living and personal care activities for individuals in their group homes.
  • YOU will comply with DDS and DPH regulations for professional medical practice and care through proper documentation, assessment and treatment.

Requirements:
  • Current professional LPN License in Massachusetts.
  • Current certification in CPR/First Aid.
  • Experience with people with multiple medical and behavioral needs.
  • Experienced in field of Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, or Elder Care preferred. Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive, positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds including those of different racial, ethnic, linguistic, religious and sexual orientation identities.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and ability to drive for work.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
