Summer Weekend Nanny

Schedule: Weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
Hours: 8 – 10 hours each day
Summer Contract: June, July, and August
Job Description:A private family is looking to hire a Weekend Nanny/Babysitter who loves working with young children during summer at their residence in Rye, NY. Preferably, someone with prior childcare experience in summer camps or babysitting young kids. All children are under 10 years old.
Must be a skilled swimmer and driver.
This opportunity is ideal for college students with previous childcare roles seeking a summer job in Westchester, NY area.
- Responsibilities:
- Ensure children's safety at all times
- Use common sense and take initiative for tasks and decisions
- Maintain regular communication and updates with parents
- Transport children to playdates and activities
- Help with packing/unpacking children's items for travel
- Assist with bath/shower and bedtime routines
- Support with laundry, light housekeeping in children's spaces
- Provide meals and snacks for children
- Help in the kitchen, clean up after snacks, and handle dishwasher duties
- Drive children to and from activities
- Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Strong references from current and past employers
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Effective English communication skills
- Capable of independent and team work
- Professional, discreet, and intelligent
- Problem-solving skills and detail-oriented
- Good at swimming
- Valid US work authorization
- Valid Driver's License
