SUMMARY
The Security Shift Manager is responsible efficient daily operation of the
security department in accordance with the property's established policies,
procedures, and controls to ensure guest, team member safety and protect
Company assets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision and Values of
- Assists in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the security
- Ensures that all security reports are submitted in a timely manner.
- Assists in the assignment of Security staff to various locations
experience.
- Observes in performance of duties to evaluate efficiency and to detect
- Ensures all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the company are
- Leads investigations.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and company rules and
- Implements departmental and procedures and trains, schedules,
- Identifies and controls risks and threats to the safety and assets of the
- Patrols property identifying potential security and or safety issues.
- Assists in ensuring the safety and protection of guests, team members
- Maintains staffing levels within the security department and is
disciplining team members as needed and instills an atmosphere that
encourages team members to thrive and succeed.
- Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching
appropriately.
- Facilitates performance review process.
- Detains persons for probable cause for the purpose of notifying law
- Controls and maintains company-wide key controls throughout the
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Previous experience in a casino resort preferred.
Associate degree in related field; or equivalent work experience.
Five (5) years casino security experience, three (3) years in a
supervisor/management capacity.
