is responsible for

leading the measurement and analysis of manufacturing processes, developing process

es and related

tooling,

implementing standard operating procedures

, driving continuous improvements in the factory

, implementing

new technologies

,

leading

and

supporting long

term initiatives,

teaching best practices for engineering and factory execution,

and mentoring

more junior members

of the Manufacturing Engineering Team

.

The

Senior

Manufacturing Engineer's scope of responsibility covers the end-to-end production process (material preparation, assembly,

testing,

and shipment preparation)

as well as the interaction of the factory with external departments

.

Responsibilities

Process Development:
Lead the d

esign,

implement

ation

, and

measur

ement of

manufacturing processes

D

ocument and train

operators on

SOPs

to

driv

e efficiency and

c

onsistency

Prioritize process flexibility to

accommodate

rapid

and diverse product

turn-over

Continuous Improvement:
C

ollect and analyze key production metrics such as cycle time and yield to

identify

opportunities for

process

or

quality

improvements

Set factory performance targets and control limits

Identify

and root cause excursions from factory control limits

Develop and

maintain

Value Stream Maps

to

identify

improvement

op

p

ortunities

L

ead initiatives to implement process improvements

Identify

end-to-end process bottlenecks and

take action to alleviate

Factory Support:
Root cause and resolve factory interruptions

Work with factory leadership to ensure tools/equipment are in place and maintained

Document, escalate, and

resolve

issues reported by factory team

Maintain and

improv

e

support management system

(JIRA)

Technical Mentorship

Mentor Engineering Team on best practices

Work with leadership on

establishing

internal metrics of success

Define the criteria

required

for

assessing project value

Assist

in

determining

whether projects are worth pursuing

Guide engineers in defin

ing

project justifications

Requirements
Master's Degree in

Industrial Engineering

,

Manufacturing

Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,

Systems Engineering

,

or equivalent

OR

Bachelor's Degree in

Industrial Engineering

, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent

with

  • years of relevant experience
Minim

Six Sigma

Green Belt

Certificate

Experience with

Experience with

assembly automation technologies

Familiarity with ISO 9000
