DoveLewis is one of the country's largest single-location veterinary hospitals.
The non-profit, accredited trauma center has an annual revenue of $35 million, which includes revenue from medical services and donations.
Dove does not receive any federal funding.This dynamic organization offers an opportunity for its CDO to be part of the executive team and at the forefront of planning for our future expansion.
The Chief Development Officer is responsible for developing, promoting, implementing, and nurturing the DoveLewis donor program. This includes creating and implementing fundraising strategies and plans, communicating with donors, and soliciting gifts from individuals. This person will be responsible for achieving fundraising goals and engaging donors in giving. They will also work directly with the Board of Directors on Dove's giving strategy.
DoveLewis is currently undertaking a capital campaign and this position will manage the Capital Campaign, which includes developing and executing a systematic strategic plan to diversify, strengthen, and increase the funding base and develop new sources of funding, for both the capital campaign and general operating costs.
This is position is located in Portland, Oregon and will involve attending events and functions including some evenings and weekends.
Education and Experience:
Experience or education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in fundraising, non-profit management, business, sales, customer service, marketing or related field of study preferred.
Seven to ten years of successful experience leading and working within fundraising.Proven track record of achieving fundraising targets.
Experience developing fundraising programs and managing multiple projects.
Experience with Raiser's Edge preferred.
Any suitable combination of experience or education may substitute.
