Job Summary Honolulu Freight Service is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator / Loader to join our team. Pay to commensurate with experience, DOE.

Duties and Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts to load and unload flat racks and trucks.

Prepare and examine bills of lading to determine shipping charges and tariffs.

Freight inspection, monitor incoming/outgoing freight.

Responds professionally to all customers needs and concerns.

Able to read load plans and utilize them to accurately load trucks and flat racks

Responsible for yard organization and general yard space management

Able to locate, accurately count, and package products for shipment

Inspect products and packaging for damage

Able to correctly tie-down loaded flat racks

Perform general warehouse duties and cleanup

All other assigned duties

Job Requirements

Forklift operator with 3+ years experience

Experience with power tools and other heavy equipment

Basic math, written and oral communications skills

Cross-dock experience preferred

Flat rack loading experience preferred

Ocean experience a plus

Excellent hand, eye, and foot coordination

Regular and predictable attendance

Working Conditions

Work may be performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.

Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.

Use of Personal Protection Equipment may be required.

Must comply with the companys drug and alcohol testing requirements.
