Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual looking for a challenging and rewarding position in the healthcare industry?

We are currently seeking a Referral Coordinator to join our team in a hybrid model location, to improve the patient experience in our clinics located in Las Vegas and Henderson.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and manage patient referrals from primary care providers to specialists.
  • Submit pre-authorizations and pre-certifies visits, tests, and/or procedures ordered by the providers of our clinics, including DMEs.
  • Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details.
  • Communicate with patients, physicians, and insurance companies to ensure a smooth referral process.
  • Schedule appointments and follow up with patients to ensure they receive necessary care in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of referrals and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Stay updated on insurance requirements and referral guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and answer any questions or concerns they may have
  • Provide clinicians with patient details regarding the referral process.
  • Communicates with the clinics and facilities to which the patients are being referred to.
  • Holds weekly meetings with the Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Director.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in referral coordination or a related role
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical scheduling systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of clinical terminology, insurance, diagnosis coding, HIPAA privacy standards, and requirements regarding patient confidentiality.
  • Seasoned in insurances like HPN, Aetna, and their respective portals ei.Availity, Parachute
  • Accurate typing and data entry skills.
  • Microsoft applications proficiency.
  • Superb customer service skills.
  • Bilingual is preferred, but not required.
