Duties
  • Serves as Manager of Forgiveness Processing of PPP loans, a nationwide small business loan program authorized by the CARES Act. Performs full range of managerial and supervisory duties for several direct reports and extended supervisory responsibility for second- and third-line reports.
  • Directs, plans, and manages loan processing activities, including credit analysis and determination of program/product eligibility, in accordance with established procedures and standards.
  • Manages and directs analysis of performance and quality against established benchmarks and development and implementation of process improvements, as necessary, to achieve high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results.
  • Provides expert critical advice regarding implementation and management of new and existing programs/products, maintaining close and effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: leading or managing multiple teams in a multi-faceted office or multi-divisional operation engaged in processing a high volume of loans or comparable financial services, regional or national in scope.

Loan Specialist Series

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled
