Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Develops and implements innovative packaging solutions, interprets product development documents to achieve packaging SKU's for marketing plans and sales distribution. Resolves complex design and assembly issues associated with manufacturing and product distribution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual in this role. Additional tasks may be assigned.

  • Strong expertise in the engineering of product packaging.
  • Proficient in Mac & PC applications.
  • Knowledge of electronic Pre-Press and Print environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teaching aptitude.
  • Ability to motivate and influence team members.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and avenues for researching their potential impact.

INTERACTION

This role operates with minimal supervision and involves close collaboration with cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, possessing a clear understanding of delivering high-quality products efficiently. Guidance and directives will be provided by Creative Services and the Vice President of Operations, Brand, Marketing, and Sales.

EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging design.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in print design.
  • Proficiency in Artios Cad, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Essential manufacturing knowledge of packaging.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong organizational skills and capable of managing multiple high-priority projects with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Thorough comprehension of instructions from support staff and written materials.
  • Professional teamwork orientation and ability to engage with internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, exercising discretion and judgment.
  • Proficient in computer skills; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
  • Flexible work hours with the ability to adapt to production demands.
  • Make logical decisions when facing challenges and escalate issues as needed.
  • Review files for accuracy and troubleshoot before delivery.
  • Construct components following instructions and departmental procedures.
  • Ensure engineering and content quality.
  • Efficiently troubleshoot work issues.
  • Document and compile reports on production and manufacturing challenges.
