POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager of Benefits is in charge of creating and managing GNC's benefit programs. They will work on developing, designing, and implementing benefit strategies to attract and keep employees with competitive and financially stable programs, including retirement, medical, disability, life, and vacation plans.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with HR leadership to establish a comprehensive benefits philosophy.
  • Design and execute benefit strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Research and suggest improvements to benefit programs, focusing on tailored strategies for a diverse workforce.
  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of health and wellness benefits.
  • Provide guidance on health and welfare issues to employees.
  • Analyze and update policies related to benefits programs for efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage retirement plans and leave programs, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Coordinate benefits pricing, vendor relationships, and annual enrollment processes.
  • Stay informed about new regulations and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Optimize benefit administration processes for effectiveness.
  • Offer expertise on benefits, compliance, and industry practices.
  • Handle additional assigned duties.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise a team of employees.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Perform various physical tasks and lift objects occasionally.
  • Required vision abilities for the job.
  • Typically low/moderate noise level in the work environment.
  • Reasonable accommodations available.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive Benefits experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical understanding.
  • Ability to develop relationships and work autonomously or in a team.
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail and deadlines.
