Job Description

Bartender Position at Fairmont Grand Del Mar
  • Displaying a welcoming appearance and maintaining a well-groomed presence.
  • Ensuring all mise en place are set up and ready for service according to the Lobby Lounge SOP.
  • Assisting colleagues in preparing pre-shift mise en place, including full bar setup, prepped juices and garnishes, stocked glassware and wines, and ensuring additional side duties are complete.
  • Providing guests with an exceptional dining experience by offering outstanding food, impeccable service, elegant decor, and exquisite presentations.
  • Guiding guests to comfortable seating areas, suggesting specialty cocktails, describing the menu, and serving beverages with care.
  • Preparing cocktails for diners in the main dining area and private events.
  • Expediting cocktail and spirit orders for guests and colleagues in the front of the house.
  • Assisting in the breakdown and cleanup of service areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization for the next day.
  • Verifying customer identifications to meet legal drinking age requirements.
  • Adhering to all food and beverage regulations.
Qualifications
  • Required: Food Handlers Card.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in workplace communication.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and sound decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, services, and facilities.
  • Superior guest service skills and a solid understanding of California serving guidelines.
