Join as a Shelter Monitor at The Salvation Army's Seattle Social Services Department. As a Health-Through-Housing (HtH) Redmond Case Manager's Assistant (CMA), you will be responsible for various tasks such as providing residential concierge assistance, conducting resident check-in intake data processing, and performing safety & security rounds. Additionally, you will offer basic needs services, crisis intervention, and ISP Wraparound support to HtH Redmond residents.

This full-time, non-exempt position is based in Seattle, Washington.

Pay Rate:
$25.09/hour

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Participate in training and supervision to adhere to HtH Redmond site operational guidelines.
  • Handle workplace chemicals safely according to instructions.
  • Operate safety and security systems, including intrusion alarm, fire alarm, and CCTV monitoring.
  • Assist with resident intakes and conduct visual site inspections.
  • Exercise sound judgment, collaborate with colleagues, and maintain proper documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization of facilities, and respond to emergencies in the absence of management.
  • Keep accurate and confidential records, reports, and logs.
  • Work in coordination with other Salvation Army staff and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and reporting requirements.
  • Adhere to Salvation Army procedural standards.

Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of public contact/customer service experience.
  • Preference for experience in social service shelter/residential settings.
  • WA Driver's License preferred.

There are various shift times available, determined during the interview process based on organizational needs and candidate preferences. While multiple shift options exist, a specific shift cannot be guaranteed.

Shifts:
  • Morning: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
  • Swing: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
  • Graveyard: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am

Health Insurance:


Employees enjoy low bi-weekly premiums for individual coverage, with options for Kaiser HMO or Anthem EPO/PPO depending on the residence location. Voluntary coverage is available for additional family members.

Dental insurance plans like Delta Dental DHMO and DPPO are provided. Additional life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance plans can be voluntarily added.

Retirement Plans:
Employees are offered an employer-funded Money Purchase Pension Plan (Defined Contribution Plan) that is 50% vested after five years of service, along with a voluntary 403(b) retirement option.

Parental Leave:
Qualified employees receive 40 hours of Paid Leave for specific events.

Sick Leave:
Annual accrued Sick Leave is 12 days, accessible after three months of service.

Paid Vacation:
Non-exempt positions have two weeks of annual vacation, while exempt positions have four weeks, both accruing from day one of employment. Vacation can be taken after six months of service.

Paid Holidays:
Employees enjoy 13 designated holidays plus one floating holiday annually.
