Day-to-Day tasks:

The candidate selected will guide and develop conversion scripts for all assessing units transitioning to a modernized web-based system. Responsibilities include creating repeatable scripts/code for each assessing unit.

  • Assist with technical design for converting RPSv4 Sybase ASA databases to an enterprise-level database data tier within a multi-tenant infrastructure.
  • Create a conversion plan for the project.
  • Coordinate technical solutions among different technical support groups.
  • Write and optimize SQL.
  • Implement technical solutions.
  • Develop system components to support conversion.
  • Assist with production tasks, including issue analysis and defect resolution solutions.
  • Collaborate with the development team on activities and integration testing.
  • Coordinate with ORPTS Business team members and assessing unit contacts to address data anomalies.
  • Support user testing efforts, performance tuning, and mentor less experienced staff.

Qualifications:


Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Software Architect: Make high-level design choices, set technical standards, and design large-scale software systems.
  • Senior: Independent worker providing guidance to others, possibly with advanced education.

Requested Qualifications:

  • 72 months of experience with J2EE technologies, including JDBC, JSP, and XML.
  • 72 months of experience developing, building, and testing Java EE applications with modern IDE's like Eclipse, NetBeans, or IntelliJ.
  • 72 months of experience with J2EE frameworks like Spring or Struts and Application Servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, or WebLogic.
  • 72 months of experience writing SQL for relational databases.
  • 48 months of experience with messaging technologies such as MQ, JMS, or Kafka.

OR

Experience in creating architectural designs and developing J2EE applications for IBM WebSphere servers. Additional experience in planning and implementing enterprise applications using JSF.

  • 72 months of system analysis and design of multi-tiered transactional systems.
  • 36 months of programming multi-tier ColdFusion web applications in a UNIX environment with Sybase RDMS.
