We are in search of a Medical Receptionist who will handle multi-line phones by directing the caller appropriately or addressing the caller's needs directly.
Responsibilities of the Medical Receptionist:
  • Capable of verifying Insurance eligibility online for patients.
  • Welcome patients upon arrival, assist with sign-in process, and collect insurance information and other necessary data.
  • Distribute intake and new patient forms, along with copies of office policies and legally required documents to patients.
  • Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
  • Arrange appointments for new and returning patients based on Physicians' availability.
  • Maintain physical patient records and electronic records in our EMR system.
  • Contact patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and assist with scheduling tests for on-site or off-site services.
  • Handle all phone calls professionally and courteously.
  • Follow all duties in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Preserve the confidentiality of doctor, staff, and patient information.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures in all tasks.
  • Accurately document patient visits.

Requirements:
  • Must be Bi-lingual and fluent in Spanish.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working at the front desk of a Medical office.
  • Confident with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will enhance the smooth running of the healthcare facility's daily operations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and respond effectively to patient emergencies.
  • Strong multitasking, communication, professionalism, and friendliness skills.
  • Proficient in computer knowledge.
