Gulf Winds is in search of Owner Operators in Charleston, SC. Join the team at Gulf Winds, a key player in the container drayage, transloading, and domestic transportation sectors. Compensation:
- Average Weekly Pay: $4,000 + FSC
- Fuel surcharge is calculated as a percentage of the load
- Bonuses:
- Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 (distributed in 2 installments during the first 2 weeks of employment)
- Referral Bonus: $1,000; paid weekly in $125 increments
- Clean Roadside Inspection & Safety Bonuses
- $50 for Clean Level 3, $75 for Clean Level 2, $100 for Clean Level 1, $200 for Clean Level 1 + a CVSA decal issued to the truck, $300 for Clean Level 1 + a CVSA decal issued on BOTH the truck & chassis, $50 each for an inspection with violations but CVSA decal(s) issued
- Additional pay for Hazmat and overweight loads
- Settlements paid weekly with direct deposit options available

Home Time, Route, and Schedule:
- Enjoy daily home time with one 2-day run weekly
- Routes cover local and regional areas, with trips to and from Charleston
- Touch-level at 75% in terms of drop and pick/hook tasks
Equipment Requirements:
- Trucks of any age are accepted as long as they pass inspection standards
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid CDL A License
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Minimum of 1-year verifiable experience in tractor trailer driving over the past 10 years
- While TWIC/HazMat not mandatory, they offer additional opportunities
- No more than three moving violations in the last thirty-six months
- No more than two preventable accidents in the last twenty-four months
- Successful completion of FMCSA pre-hire drug screening with no prior positive tests or refusals in the last decade
- Clear previous employer and criminal background checks, with no misdemeanors in the past five years or felonies in the past seven years
- Reside within a 60-mile radius of Charleston, SC
