Sr. User Portal Developer at CGI Federal

We are hiring a Sr. User Portal Developer. In this role, you'll collaborate with various IT disciplines to shape and implement the Cloud/Hosting strategy for a shared service platform focused on identifying and addressing cyber risks. You'll closely work with the Cloud Architecture and Operations teams to support the client's mission and tackle unique challenges, including the implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.

This role, located in our Fairfax, VA office with a hybrid working model, will require you to be in the office two days a week.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Design and develop a web portal for monitoring and reporting status and errors in a data integration pipeline.
  • Develop code modules for data extraction from sources like Parquet and AWS Cloudwatch.
  • Create user interfaces for visualizing trending data and anomalies using SQL queries and APIs.
  • Design and develop front-end interfaces using React.
  • Work with product management and UX team to understand requirements and build a technical backlog.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues in code modules, ensuring the application's security from cyber risks.
  • Develop unit tests as part of Test Driven Development (TDD) for all code modules.
  • Communicate and coordinate with project teams.

Required qualifications for success

  • US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years of related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in developing web applications using JavaScript and React.
  • Advanced experience in SQL queries and building code logic for portal interfaces.
  • Thorough knowledge of code building and deployment tools including Git and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience in container solutions on Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.

Desired qualifications

  • Expertise in web application development using AWS native services.
  • Experience in containerizing software modules and deploying hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Understanding of various data formats and payload structures.
