Job Description:

What you'll do:
Participate in the delivery of software changes in a geospatial hazard and risk applicationOwn, grow and update technical backlogReview business stories for development readinessCode contributor/reviewer (Java/Spring Boot)

Ability to define detailed technical acceptance criteria for the development teamsIdentify opportunities for improvement of our processes and systemsReview technical designs to ensure they meet the customer needReview Oracle and Postgres database scripts for implementationDemonstrate a strong understanding of architectural standards and software development methodologiesJob Qualifications:

Skills and Experience:


Experience as a team leadBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.5+ years of experience developing applications using Java, Spring BootStrong understanding of architectural standards and software development methodologiesExperience in various database and big data technologiesExperience with message queue technologiesAbility to mentor and educate development teams on technical and architectural approaches.

Strong oral and written skillsBusiness/technical requirements analysis skillsFlexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; Organizational and time-management abilitiesStrong interpersonal / relationship management skillsAngular, Groovy, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Jenkins, Oracle, Postgres, CockroachDB, Docker, Big QueryFull stack development experienceExperience creating and modifying CI/CD pipelinesHands on experience with Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)Experience in designing and implementing large-scale event-driven architecturesDomain-specific industry experience in risk/hazard insurance a plus
