Position : Construction Management – Construction Quality Manager

Reports to: Department Manager

General Qualities:

Oversee the construction quality of our project.

Ensuring that our project meets the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulations.

Extensive experience implementing QC programs in a construction environment.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the designated CQCM, approved by CTDOT, responsible for the construction quality of the project.

Be present on-site daily to supervise or self-perform QC actions throughout the duration of the project. Maintain independence from design and construction production teams and have the authority to halt construction work if necessary.

Implement and oversee QC programs to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Provide leadership and guidance to project teams on quality control procedures and best practices.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues promptly.

Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Training and certification in QC principles, such as NETTCP QA Technologist Certification or equivalent, satisfactory to CTDOT.

Construction phase experience relevant to the type of work and scope of the project.

Substitutions allowed for educational attainment (e.g., bachelor's or associate degree in related fields) and relevant certifications (e.g., NICET IV or III).

Prior supervisory experience in roadway or bridge construction preferred.

Education & Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in construction, with at least 2 years of demonstrated success implementing QC programs.

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

Additional Development:

This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and leadership skills.

The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering exceptional results are essential for success in this role.
