Bowhead seeks an ECAD PCB Engineer with Electronic Computer-aided Design (ECAD) schematic design skills to work as part of a multi-disciplined team generating solutions for Department of Defense and other government customers.

The teams focus is on designing,

analyzing, documenting, testing and delivering innovative prototypes in the energetics and weapon systems domain.

Responsibilities:
Ownership and accountability for PCB schematics, to include concept development, design reviews, and configuration management.
Work closely with government designers in the requirements capture and innovation phase to translate design concepts into PCB schematics. Support the maturation process from schematic to board layout.

Responsible for interfacing with electrical, mechanical and producibility engineering disciplines to ensure that the overall design requirements are captured and accomplished.

Work with product designers and the ECAD librarian in the process that advances schematics to fully producible PCB designs.

Qualifications:


Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an accredited college or experience working with a team of PCB designers.

Understanding (experience preferred) of single-side, double-side, multilayer, flex and rigid-flex PCBs.
Demonstrated proficiency with Altium Designer ECAD software. At least 3 years of experience creating schematics and circuit board layouts using Altium tools.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Experience with mechanical engineering drawings. Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is desired.
PCB manufacturing and machine shop experience is desired.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to obtain security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
