Chipton-Ross is seeking a Project Management Specialist 4 for a contract opportunity in Everett, WA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our BCA Production & Industrial Engineering team in Everett, WA. You will work in providing high impact, creative solutions to complex problems that directly impact our production system. You will work both independently and as part of a dynamic team environment.
In this role, you will lead functional projects that impact the production engineering environment, programs, and business units.
You will support the four functions under Production Engineering which are Equipment and Tool Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Liaison Engineering, and Industrial Engineering.
You will work with multiple project teams, stakeholders, and leadership to define requirements, build charters, and drive projects from start to finish.
This role is primarily based in Everett but may require work hours at our Renton site.o Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
o Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
o Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project. Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.o Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion. Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
o Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.
Day to day:
The selected candidate will be working within a team daily. They will meet in person and talk through strategy of the project in a very dynamic environment. This project deals with changing a piece of their production system. Problem solving, collaboration and team work will be heavily involved in the role.
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
o Experience with Smarsheet.
o Experience with Microsoft project.
o Mid-level - 5 or more years' experience in project management or program planning.
o 5 or more years' experience in advising and influencing managers and non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
o Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
o 3 or more years interfacing with senior leadership.
o Project management certification (PMP, PMI, PMBOK, PMBP, etc.).
o Client experience would be a plus.
o 2 or more years of experience in supporting manufacturing or engineering industries.
EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
MISCELLANEOUS:
Potential for local travel to Renton, WA.
