Sub-System Launch Lead (SSLL)

Location:
Metro Detroit Area at assigned Assembly Plant

Job Description:

Project Manager, accountable for sub-system assessment and alignment for product and process to achieve design quality objectives for the body, interior, and mechatronics from Tool Kick Off (TKO) to Start of Production (SOP).

Responsible for tracking issue resolution and escalating to the Product Design Office and Engineering management if targets are not met.

SSLL has authority to reject advanced design or processes not meeting Stellantis standards or KPI performance requirements at development milestones.

Oversees advanced project Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensures compliance with timing per milestone.

Validates design/process robustness per standards, best practices, know-how, and lessons learned.

Ensures alignment and validation rhythm for Build Objectives (gap/flush) and supervises planning and issue resolution for KPIs.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

8+ years of Automotive experience in Product Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality.

Understanding of issue resolution, escalation processes, and follow-up.

Familiarity with design principles and KPI metrics.

Proficiency in Microsoft suite and Google; experience with TeamCenter CAD is advantageous.

Ability to travel to Canada and Mexico occasionally to support other Manufacturing facilities.

DFFS Black Belt or Shainin Red X certification is desirable.
