About the Opportunity

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading/directing the Pattons branch WH operations by leading by example and managing the maintenance of parts inventory and warehousing, ensuring proper receipt and shelving/storing of material, shipment of material for Sales/service needs, and staging for field service technician jobs. This role will have responsibility of the CLT operations warehouse and all KPI's that come with keeping that a functional, efficient operation.

As a Warehouse Manager for Pattons you will:
  • Ensure effective utilization of all ERP system tools to adequately process orders from start to finish within the system (receiving, shipping, staging, transfers, bin location adjustments, cycle counting, etc. These duties include but are not limited to:
    • Receive parts orders. Examine shipment contents, ensure correct order fulfillment
    • Maintain inventory controls by assigning locations, labeling, and stocking parts.
    • Count equipment, parts, accessories, and related material in stock and posts totals to inventory records. Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjust errors in computation or count, or investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.
    • Reference the service schedule to stage parts required for field service technicians to complete service jobs.
    • Prepare parts orders for shipment including, but not limited to, preparing shipping documents, packaging, staging, and scheduling freight pickups with the appropriate vendor.
    • Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move parts to the appropriate locations. Load and unload freight trucks as necessary.
    • Maintain the warehouse including, but not limited to, ensuring pathways and exits are clear of obstructions.
    • Perform Other tasks as needed or assigned.
  • Addition to performing as needed day to day functions, the Warehouse manager must have "ownership" mindset and be responsible for the upkeep and functionality of all warehousing aspects. Warehouse manager will be responsible leading/managing the shipping and receiving associate teams across multiple locations through all day to day requirements and functions to adequately meet KPI thresholds set for efficient warehouse.
  • Multi-City/site location shipping and receiving associates will report directly to the Warehousing Manager.
  • Warehouse Manager will coordinate with the Procurement team on incoming shipments, urgent requirements for receipts, and any shipping/receiving needs beyond they day to day processing.
  • Coordinate with the Service Coordinators and Service Excellence Managers on any priority service/maintenance jobs needing urgent staging or product receipt attention.
  • Approximately 30% travel time to reporting branches.

  • 5+ years' warehousing experience (shipping and receiving, LTL shipping, and sit-down forklift operation experience)
  • Previous experience in a Warehouse Managerial role a plus
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
  • Ability to work in a leadership role as well as independently
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS and ERP system.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Available to work extended hours.
  • Self-driven, proactive work ethic required
  • Valid drivers' license.
