Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Process donations for hanging, tagging, tallying, and pricing
  • Maintain production levels to achieve store goals
  • Address customer complaints courteously, referring to the Store Manager or Crew Leader as necessary
  • Efficiently distribute inventory within store fixturesAccept donations from the general public, providing donation receipts upon request
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area meeting agency standards
  • Attend scheduled meetings
  • Perform necessary custodial duties
  • Enforce safety and loss prevention procedures
  • Embrace agency core values at work and in the community
  • Contribute to department and agency objectives and goals
  • Comply with all department and agency policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate high customer service skills
  • Effective communication with internal employees and external customers
  • Collaborate well with others
  • Comprehend and follow instructions accurately
  • Read, write, and complete agency forms as needed
  • Bilingual proficiency preferred

Additional requirements for a Donation Station Attendant II:

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations

Physical Functions:

  • Stand, walk, climb, kneel, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods
  • Work in variable weather conditions
  • Work in a humid and/or dusty environment
  • Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. or more with assistance
