Zurich North America is currently seeking an Endpoint Engineer to join the team at its North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.
As a key member of the End User Technology team supporting Zurich’s End User environment, the Endpoint Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring a consistent product and computing experience for the Zurich North America workforce. This role involves designing, building, and implementing endpoint configurations and user applications for both virtual and physical desktop environments. The Engineer will collaborate closely with other End User technicians and engineers to provide Level 3 technical support and serve as an escalation point for core end-user endpoint issues. Additionally, they will be responsible for offering guidance, direction, and documentation to the Level 2 team.
Key responsibilities of the Endpoint Engineer include:
- Strong technical skills in Citrix, VDI, Azure Virtual Desktop, W365, and Intune Endpoint Manager
- Identifying, testing, and implementing security policies (DevSecOps)
- Providing 3rd tier support to 2nd tier technicians during issue escalation
- Communicating business practices and new applications to business units
- Driving business process improvements
- Conducting software testing, customization, and deployment
- Performing software upgrades, installations, uninstalls, and configuration changes
- Ensuring compliance with local and global guidelines
- Collaborating with the End User Computing Platform team on policy implementation
- Undertaking other assigned duties
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 3 or more years of IT experience OR Zurich Cybersecurity Technician Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 4 or more years of IT experience OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5 or more years of IT experience. Also, proficiency in MS Office.
Key Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding and navigating complex policies within Intune and Active Directory
- Engineering experience with Windows 10 and 11
- Experience with Office 365 (O365)
- Capability to navigate complex packages
- Ability to drive initiatives independently
- Proficiency in tools like ServiceNow
- Hardware troubleshooting experience
- Strong analytical and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
