We are currently hiring an Accounts Receivable and Revenue Accountant to join our team In this role, youll have the opportunity to join a strong, supportive Accounting and Finance team and manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and maintain financial compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Director of Corporate Revenue & Federal Accounting this position will play a crucial role in managing the accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, and maintaining financial compliance.
  • The AR/Revenue Accountant will lead all aspects of billing and collection operations and collaborate with a team of AR staff members.
  • Analyze customer contracts and agreements to determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
  • Monthly Invoicing: Responsible for the billing and invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review revenue postings in accounting system for accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients to facilitate timely payment collections.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Collaborate Project leads to resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes with clients.
  • Set monthly meetings with CFO and relevant stakeholders to review aging reports or any issues with accounts receivable.
  • Month-end Close: Review revenue for missing data in advance of AR closing.
  • Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliations for all AR related accounts, including but not limited to, accounts receivable.
  • Assist with various external audits.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field along with 2+ years of recent revenue billing experience
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 and ASC 842
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • NetSuite knowledge is preferred.
