Job Title: Experienced Team Lead and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) at PNNL's Cybersecurity Group

Welcome to the team at PNNL's Cybersecurity Group If you are an experienced technical leader ready to take on the role of Team Lead and ISSM for the PNNL Field Intelligence Element (FIE), then this opportunity is for you. Your mission will involve ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified information systems and data, working closely with stakeholders from various intelligence agencies. As the FIE ISSM, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining robust security measures in alignment with government regulations.

Here are some highlights of your responsibilities:

  • Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and policies, conduct audits, and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and prioritize security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and safeguard sensitive data.
  • Security Architecture: Consult on the design and implementation of secure information systems architectures.
  • Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Implement security monitoring tools, respond to incidents, and maintain response plans.
  • Security Training and Awareness: Provide training programs to educate ISSOs and system users on security best practices.
  • Security Documentation and Reporting: Maintain security documentation and prepare necessary reports for government agencies.
  • Enable Research: Collaborate on cybersecurity solutions in a secure research environment.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA and 7+ years of relevant experience, or
  • MS/MA and 5+ years of relevant experience, or
  • PhD with 3+ years of experience

Preferred qualifications include industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC, proficiency in cyber security governance, and experience with federal cyber security compliance requirements. A federal security clearance, effective leadership skills, and familiarity with the intelligence community are also desired.

Note: Applicants will need to demonstrate non-use of illegal drugs, including marijuana, for pre-employment clearance processing by the U.S. Department of Energy. This is a Testing Designated Position with requirements for drug testing.
