The College of Education (COE) Coordinator of Strategic Initiatives and Support and Special Assistant to the Dean reports directly to the Dean of the College of Education. In conjunction with the Dean, the position is responsible for providing strategic and administrative oversight for various initiatives designated by the Dean to support growth and innovation within the College and University. The job responsibilities include detailed execution of marketing initiatives, college level events, resource stewardship, facility upgrades, and optimization of workflow within the College. The Coordinator will be the primary liaison to University Communications and Marketing, University Advancement, the COE departments, and other internal and external components that are critical for achieving strategic marketing outcomes in the COE. The position will also provide Dean¿s Office-level support and necessary responsiveness to executive-level external partnerships (e.g., school superintendents, RESA directors).

Responsibilities

Provide vision, strategic direction and oversight to a broad range of marketing and promotional initiatives targeted to increase the visibility and attractiveness of the College of Education. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, schedule and oversee special events and guests of the COE; select, train and lead COE ambassadors; develop print publications; provide support / backup for website development; lead social media coordination across the various departments, labs, and student groups; develop and distribute promotional materials, and coordinate internal digital signage throughout the COE. (40%)

Collaborate with college leadership to make data-driven decisions regarding the allocation and management of fiscal resources needed to support innovation and promotion of the College of Education¿s programs and strategic initiatives. (20%)

Collaborate with appropriate personnel to plan, execute, and provide on-site support for all college level events. Collaborate with program coordinators and program assessment leaders related to data collection and analysis related to program marketing, recruitment and development. (25%)

Serve as the primary liaison to University Communications and Marketing to ensure that college level marketing and promotional initiatives align with institutional mission, vision, and strategic priorities and work with other internal and external individuals or groups partners in order to achieve the goals of the College of Education. Other duties as assigned. (15%)

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience in marketing and promotional events

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree

Budget Experience; 2+ years of experience in event planning and execution; experience working in higher education.

Proposed Salary

$50,ooo - 65,000
