Job Description:


GENERAL PURPOSEThe EHS Leader is responsible for leading the safety program for the Duncan site; one who promotes and prioritizes safety as a core value.

This role is responsible for providing insightful leadership by influencing others to discover, develop, and apply their talents to promote occupational health and safety and minimize risks to themselves and their co-workers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, implement, and drive business processes to ensure we are sending people home healthy and safe through a comprehensive safety and environmental program.
  • Prepare and/or provide safety training for team members on policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Maintain and enforce safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop and execute continuous improvement roadmap.
  • Provide strategic advice and professional action on all Health and Safety matters.
  • Conduct gembas, inspections, and performance reviews to reduce risks and ensure compliance.
  • Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work environment risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
  • Ensure all safety/facilities related inspections are completed and maintained in accordance with the required regulations.
  • Fosters and promotes a positive health and safety culture throughout the site, maintaining employee engagement and influencing safe behaviors.
  • Lead the safety committee and on-site first responder team.
  • Assist leadership in investigating all safety incidents and near misses; provide timely incident reporting and drive to root cause elimination/prevention.
  • Maintain a proper record of workers' compensation claims.
  • Represent company during third party inspections and safety reviews.
  • Manage and maintain departmental budget.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a Safety related discipline, or a technical field with safety experience in a manufacturing facility

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years of safety leadership in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working closely with the Facilities team to complete required safety inspections.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience leading facilities/maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading direct report(s).
  • Knowledge of Worker's Comp laws.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification.
