Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Primary Therapist to join our team at our Homestead, FL location. As a Primary Therapist, you will be responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy to LGBTQIA+ clients who are facing challenges with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Your role will involve developing and implementing treatment plans, conducting assessments, and offering crisis intervention when necessary.
Qualifications
- Must hold a Masters degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
- Active licensure in the state of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or PsyD/PhD)
- Certification or formal training in substance use treatment (e.g., CAC or CAP)
- Prior experience in providing therapy to LGBTQIA+ individuals
- Background in substance use and mental health treatment is preferred
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices like Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and development
- Dedication to delivering culturally competent and affirming care to the LGBTQIA+ community
