Exciting Opportunity - Global Head of Stewardship:


Join us as the Global Head of Stewardship, a key leadership position in our Asset Management division. In this role, you will drive our investment stewardship strategy to ensure alignment with client expectations and market standards.

Reporting to the Head of Investment Platform Services, you will collaborate closely with the Global Head of Sustainable Investing Integration to lead a global team of stewardship experts and actively participate in investor collaborations.

This highly visible role requires a strong marketplace presence and a commitment to enhancing the long-term financial performance of our investee companies.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive investment stewardship strategy that reflects our values and objectives
  • Build a skilled team of stewardship specialists across global hubs, providing mentorship and guidance for a high-performing team
  • Chair the Proxy Voting Committee and engage with various stakeholders to promote responsible investing practices
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory developments to shape our stewardship strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of stewardship efforts across the organization

Set Direction for Stewardship Activities:

  • Develop strategies for proxy voting and engagement with portfolio companies to advocate for better practices
  • Report findings on governance and sustainability practices, focusing on ESG factors
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure client views are incorporated into engagement themes
  • Enhance active ownership policies and procedures to align with portfolio company valuation factors

Marketplace Engagement:

  • Communicate stewardship efforts and results transparently to clients
  • Represent the Stewardship Team at internal and external events
  • Engage with stakeholders to stay informed about industry best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum of fifteen years of experience in investment management with a focus on stewardship
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, additional certifications are a plus
  • Strong leadership skills and executive communication abilities
  • Deep understanding of ESG principles and responsible investment practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Results-oriented with a client-centric focus
