Electrical Designer - Established Engineering Firm (Direct Hire with Benefits)

About Us

We are a well-established engineering firm with 50 years of experience, seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Designer to join our growing team. We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package in a positive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical assembly and routing drawings, schematics, and custom control panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other designers to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements.
  • Review and interpret electrical specifications and schematics.
  • Conduct electrical calculations to determine proper wire sizing, voltage drops, and component selection.
  • Maintain and update electrical design documents as needed.
  • May participate in site visits and provide technical support during installation.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree (AAS) in Electrical Drafting/Design preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience creating electrical assembly plans and schematics.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical software.
  • Solid understanding of electrical codes and standards (NFPA 70, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated history of employment stability.
