Dorado Animal Hospital and Surgical Center, a new and growing practice located in Oceanside, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to be part of our team.

As a newly established clinic, we offer a unique opportunity for professionals who are looking to grow and shape their careers alongside our evolving practice.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians in the examination and treatment of animals, including restraining animals during procedures, sample collection, and administering medication.
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, such as blood tests and urinalysis.
  • Prepare animals and operating rooms for surgery, ensuring that all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
  • Monitor the condition of patients, recognize any changes in behavior, and effectively communicate these to the veterinarian.
  • Provide routine postoperative monitoring and care.
  • Maintain clean and organized examination rooms and treatment areas.
  • Perform front desk duties as necessary, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
  • A deep passion for animals and a commitment to providing them with the highest level of care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle stressful situations with grace and professionalism.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment.

Pay:
$ $28.00 per hour
