About the Team
The Payment team of U.S.

Data Security department of TikTok provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on - to ensure that users have a smooth and secure payment experience on TikTok platform.

The Payment Intelligence & Analytics team has a simple mission: we turn massive amounts of data into actionable insights that ensure seamless, secure digital commerce experiences across TikTok's payment platform.

Our data analyst and data scientist professionals deliver on this mission by implementing data-based solutions, analysis and insights targeted at maximizing payment success including maintaining security, improving approvals, reducing fraud and chargebacks, and preserving the integrity of the fastest growing payment platform in US and globally.


In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department.

We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities:
You are playing a key role in empowering TikTok to achieve overall payment success by way of payment security.

You will contribute to the development of industry-leading payment solutions for all TikTok products and services to protect TikTok and our users from emerging payment threats and ensure secure payment growth.

You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver on a dynamic set of needs in a fast-paced environment.


Specific responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the design and construct of payment risk and operations systems/tools/solutions, define clear requirements and develop high quality documentation. Proactively promote system development and implementation.
  • Translate payment operation management requirements into implementation logic for tools/solutions to improve operations performance.
  • Indepth understanding of upstream and downstream systems to ensure optimal payment risk system application in the overall architecture.
  • Work closely with business, strategy, operations, products, solutions, engineers teams to build endtoend fraud defense systems, including detection, action, monitoring and alerting, testing, etc.
  • Evaluate payment strategy (e.g risk strategies) effectiveness through A/B testing and work with Payment Strategy and Decision Science teams to optimize strategies.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above with a background in Computer Science, Business Analytic, Math, Statistics, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in risk control platform products or risk solution products.
  • Resultsoriented and comfortable working in a fastpaced environment requiring prioritization and ownership.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to interact at all levels, including working closely with crossfunctional teams.
  • Aptitude to identify new ways to approach risk management and to think creatively.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $ $311600 annually.


Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
