POSITION PURPOSE:

Monitor and execute site security checks on critical assets, restricted areas, communications facilities, and rear parking lot.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct security checks of areas identified as high value/mission critical/restricted areas at a minimum every four (4) hours to verify areas are properly secured.
  • Report any suspicious activity or issues to the base police or the appropriate staff.
  • Monitor Lenel Security system equipment for proper operation.
  • Notify Government personnel of any irregularities noted in the Lenel security system.
  • Inventory and Monitor Keys and badges.
  • Provide information and assistance to employees, visitors and guests.
  • Control, issue, and maintain an electronic record of visits.
  • Verify all personnel entering the facilities by ensuring all personnel present a Badge or identification (i.e., Common Access Card (CAC)). Cross reference it with the Lenel Security.
  • Issue a temporary visitor's badge as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-3 years of experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in all MS Office Suites, the Lenel Security System, and CCTVs

Special Requirements:

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, Holidays, and weekends 7 days per week as needed. This is a Part-time/On-call position. In most cases, there will be scheduled workdays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Walking is required in order to complete security checks.
