What Our Client Needs:

Our client is looking for an Assistant Community Home Manager. The purpose of this role is to assist the group home managers in running and maintaining group homes.

What You'll Do:
  • Support individuals as needed in daily living activities such as personal and health management, communication, self-advocacy, realizing personal and educational goals, meal planning and preparation, shopping, housekeeping, laundry, basic home maintenance and safety, recreation, home management, financial management and decision making
  • Participate in the development of ISP's, ELP's, IEP's, and in Planning Team meetings as needed
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately including, but not limited to, Critical Logs, ELP,IEP,& ISP data, etc.
  • Comply with the program policies and DDD licensing standards
  • Maintain established division and program specific policies & procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
  • Cooperates fully with Archway Programs, the Division of Developmental Disabilities, Department of Human Services and Department of Children and Families staff in any and all licensing, inspections and/ or investigations
  • Promote and demonstrate ethical and professional conduct at all times. Provides culturally sensitive services that are based on knowledge of cultural diversity to accomplish quality personal care
  • Assists in planning weekly schedules for staff
  • Assists in consumer fund management
  • Assists in planning recreational activities
  • Work towards advancing the mission and values of the program
  • Ensure that all necessary program resources are used to meet the needs of the individuals
  • Runs client meetings as necessary
  • Responsible to see that daily chores are performed by residents and staff
  • Assists in developing, updating, monitoring, implementing and evaluating ISP
  • Customer Service: respect, flexibility, knowledge, confidence, professionalism, pleasant attitude, patience, helpfulness. All responses should be timely, professional, caring, and respectful in accordance with program standards/policies
  • Participate in quality improvement projects
  • Promote and participate in the program's Risk Management and Performance Improvement goals addressing the health and safety of clients and employees
  • Promote inclusion for individuals through meaningful and high quality community activities
  • Support individuals as needed in developing friendships and establishing desired relationships with peers
  • Complete household chores to the extent necessary to maintain high standards of health, sanitation, safety and building maintenance at all times
  • Assist individuals in receiving needed medical, dental and counseling services
  • Guards the confidentiality of an individual's information both from external and internal sources, and program employees who do not require this information to perform their job functions
  • Communicate with individuals' families and day and employment program personnel as assigned by supervisor
  • Assist in maintaining records of medical/dental services, petty cash funds and individual funds entrusted to the company as assigned by supervisor
  • Serve as shift supervisor as assigned by supervisor
  • Administer medication to individuals who need support taking medication
  • Attend staff meetings and all required training programs as assigned by the supervisor
  • Transport individuals in company vehicles as required
  • Perform other such duties as may be assigned for providing excellent customer service and for the most effective operation of the company
What You'll Need:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 1+ years' working with the developmentally disabled or the elderly required
  • 1+ years' working in residential or health care
  • Appointees will be required to possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Excellent communication skills, Basic computer literacy
  • CPR, First Aid and DDD Pre-service must be completed within 90 days of hire
