Firmware Technical Lead/ManagerLocation: Morrisville, NC

• OnsiteDuration: Direct Hire Full TimeResponsibilitiesThe Firmware Technical Lead/Manager is expected to provide technical leadership, mentoring, and oversight while also supporting typical manager level overhead tasks.

Support sales opportunities by meeting with potential customers and estimating the level of effort of firmware and software projects.
Lead a team of FW/SW Engineers to ensure excellent quality of work and adherence to company policies.
Recommend, create & maintain FW/SW processes, procedures, and templates.
Embedded systems firmware design, architecture, and development working individually and/or leading a larger team.
Design and implement methods for interfacing with peripheral devices and external systems.
Work closely with other engineering disciplines to meet technical goals and exceed project expectations.

Gathering and analyzing requirements from customersKnowledge/Skills/CompetenciesProficiency in C, C++ programming languages in embedded systemsPython test/interface application programmingC# Visual Studio test/interface application programmingExperience with SPI, I2C, RS-485, and USB interfacingBare-metal and real-time operating system embedded systems implementation such as ThreadX, FreeRTOS, MQXWiFi network interfacing with embedded systemsBoard startup and general debuggingEmbedded Linux experience is a plus.

QualificationsMinimum of Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering is required.

Consideration will be given to candidates with other degrees possessing strong experience/background in firmware development.5+ years of embedded systems firmware design and development.5+ years of project and personnel leadership.
